Just What are Killing Goods?

Killing Goods are cursed objects which were used by murderers in the past and have now been passed on onto family members. They are unbreakable items which bestowed their users, referred to as "Authors", great powers, Including; The ability to cut through flesh as though it was hair or to destroy anything in it's path. Killing Goods are made from various objects by various people called Made-to-order, by their own desire to kill people. Once a Killing Good has chosen it's author, it can't be broken or thrown away. Authors are able to "trick" the Killing Goods by using people called "Insteads". The Authors will use the Killing Good's powers on these people without actually killing them. For instance, Killing Goods like scissors are calmed by cutting hair and syringe is calmed by injecting Saline into the Instead. The Killing Goods have a 'voice' that can drive their Authors mad if they can not trick the Killing good and suppress the urge to kill.

The original owners of the killing goods appear in their Authors dream, at first they are far away but with each dream they get closer and closer until they are standing next to, behind, or in front of the Author. This is when the Killing Good really starts to effect the Author, the original will start whispering for them to kill, whispering for them to use their goods they keep it up until the Author goes insane or the Author finds an Instead.
